Job description

We are looking for a C# Developerto join a team working for our UK-based client - the national mapping agency for Great Britain and a global leader in geospatial data and digital mapping solutions. You will be part of a project focused on building a comprehensive digital map of underground assets in the UK, contributing to the development of data pipelines, backend services, and a frontend application that support critical decision-making across government and industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET (Core/Framework), and related technologies.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend logic.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices and SOLID principles.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product teams.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
  • Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning).

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of development experience with C#
  • Proven track record delivering complex, high-quality web applications
  • Strong communication and collaborative team mindset

Contract details:

  • Start Date: September 2025
  • Contract Length: 18 months
  • Security Clearance Certificate is mandatory

Location:

Fully remote within the UK, with potential business trips to Southampton every 4–6 weeks.
