Exciting opportunity for a .Net Automation Tester to join a leading international sports betting and gambling company.

Length : initial 6 months
Location : 2-3 days in Manchester
IR35 Status : Outside

  • Independently formulates test plans for features, requiring minimal guidance from senior team members.
  • Performs both exploratory and scripted testing while automating common workflows.
  • Attains comprehensive knowledge of assigned products and understands interactions with dependent systems.
  • Possesses a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals.
  • Capably diagnoses and resolves issues in automated tests, delivering modifications and enhancements of small to medium complexity with minimal guidance from senior engineers.
  • Proficiently authors automated tests independently using the existing framework and enhances them based on senior engineers' recommendations.
  • Assumes ownership of quality efforts for their squad's feature testing and actively participates in bug triages.
  • Engages in collaborative discussions with the Product Owner to thoroughly address features to be developed, actively seeking clarifications.
  • Effectively communicates their understanding of problems and solutions to team members before implementing them.
  • Strives for excellence by consistently elevating the quality of their deliverables.
  • Adheres to interview guidelines and contributes to the interview process by pairing with senior engineers.
  • Offers mentorship to Associate SDETs, guiding them in managing their deliveries through code review.
  • Must have extensive experience of using C# in test execution
  • Proficient in Software Testing, An investigation conducted to provide stakeholders with information about the quality of the software product or service under test.
  • Advanced in Test Management, the process of managing the testing activities in order to ensure high quality and high-end testing of the software.
  • Advanced in Test Planning, detailing the objectives, resources, and processes for a specific test for a software or hardware product.
  • Advanced in Manual / Automation Testing, in manual testing, a human performs the tests step by step, without test scripts. In automated testing, tests are executed automatically via test automation frameworks, along with other tools and software.
  • Advanced in Agile Testing, a software testing practice that follows the principles of agile software development.
  • Proficient in Applications Performance Monitoring & Altering, monitoring whether an IT environment meets performance standards.
  • User Acceptance Testing Proficient, the last phase of the software testing process carried out by the user or client to determine whether it can be accepted or not.
  • Advanced in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment Automation & Orchestration, Continuous Integration is the practice of testing each change done to your codebase automatically and as early as possible. Continuous Deployment follows the testing that happens during Continuous Integration and pushes changes to a staging or production system.
  • Proficient in Programming / Scripting, the process of writing instructions for computers to perform specific tasks or operations, enabling automation and software development.
  • Advanced in Test Case Design / Writing, specifying the set of actions to be performed on a system to determine if it satisfies software requirements and functions.
  • Proficient in Test Automation Frameworks, a set of components that facilitate executing tests and comprehensive reporting of test results.
  • Proficient in Functional / Non-functional Testing. Functional testing ensures that functions and features of the application work properly. Nonfunctional testing examines other aspects of how well the application works.
  • Proficiency in Release Testing, the process that involves testing a particular release of a system. In release testing, each release undergoes a series of automated and manual tests to ensure the quality of the finished product.
  • Proficient in Behaviour Driven Development (BDD), an agile software development process that encourages collaboration among developers, quality assurance testers, and customer representatives in a software project.
  • Proficient in Integration Testing, a level of software testing where individual units are combined and tested as a group. The purpose of this level of testing is to expose faults in the interaction between integrated units.
  • Proficient in Version Control Management, the practice of tracking and managing changes to software code.
