Job description

Join to apply for the Neonatal Transport Nurse role at Barts Health NHS Trust.

We are seeking Senior Band 6 nurses with a minimum of 3 years of tertiary (level 3) NICU experience to join London's only dedicated neonatal transfer service.

This role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in neonatal transfer, caring for critically ill neonates across London and beyond. You will work within a small team, stabilising and transferring some of the sickest babies, and become part of the single-clinician led High/Low Dependency Transfer Team.

The team includes Neonatal Consultants, specialist registrars/clinical fellows, a Matron, PDNs, experienced transport nurses, and technicians from St John Ambulance Service.

You will undergo an induction programme and ride-out shifts with support. Shifts include rotation between dual and single clinician teams, days (including twilight), nights, and weekends. Flexible working options are available.

The post requires leading as an expert neonatal nurse in facilitating transfers across London and the Southeast.
