Job description

Vacancies for Band 5 Neonatal Nurses to work within Transitional Care.

Are you ready to make a difference in neonatal care? Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is thrilled to announce the collaboration between Neonatal and Maternity Services by introducing Neonatal nurses to our Transitional Care Service.

Neonatal Transitional Care provides additional support for newborns who need more support after they are born but are not sick enough to require admission to a neonatal unit. It is designed to keep the birthing person and baby together, with enhanced support from midwifery and neonatal teams.

About the Role

The Neonatal Transitional Care Service at NUH consists of 8 beds located on the postnatal ward at each campus. We are looking to recruit a whole new nursing team to be able to staff the service.

Why Join Us?

Our evolving Neonatal Transitional Care Unit is at the forefront of providing family-centred care, supporting the family to be the primary care givers, keeping families together, bridging the gap between intensive neonatal support and home.

  • Be part of an exciting development of service: Help to grow this service, delivering a high standard of care to neonates requiring ongoing support outside of traditional neonatal intensive and postnatal care.
  • Work across two cutting-edge units: Gain experience in diverse environments across both QMC and Nottingham City campuses.
  • Provide family-integrated care: Play a vital role in supporting parents and families to build their confidence in caring for their babies.
  • Shape the future: Contribute to a developing service, working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to innovation and excellence.

  • Experience of supervising non-registered staff
