The Neonatal and Transitional Care Matron plays a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of care for newborns and their families. They oversee the clinical and operational management of neonatal and transitional care units, supporting staff development, patient safety, and family-centered care. With a strong focus on quality improvement, the Matron collaborates across multidisciplinary teams to enhance outcomes for premature and unwell infants, while also championing compassionate, evidence-based practices.
