Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Special Care Baby Unit Nurse on a 36-hour post at WCH for internal applicants only. The post supports developmentally appropriate care for preterm and unwell babies, with expected Neonatal Nursing Speciality qualifications and Newborn Life Support training.

You will collaborate with the MDT and mentor junior staff. The role involves managing all aspects of neonatal care, ensuring infection prevention and contributing to staff

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with active NMC registration.
• Continuing professional development portfolio is expected.
• Experience in neonatal/high dependency care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide family-centred care for neonates and liaise with the MDT.
• Manage care plans and assess needs for babies and families.
• Support students on the ward and uphold infection prevention and control guidelines.
