The Neonatal teams offer a full range of specialist services to facilitate a timely, safe, and effective patient journey throughout the healthcare system.

Main duties of the job

Successful candidates will join our friendly, supportive teams and be part of a team reflective of the acuity of the patient group. Regular staff engagement, feedback sessions, and a supportive ethos are actively practiced.

We are looking to recruit staff who are enthusiastic and committed to providing high-quality evidence-based care. We have 7 Intensive care cots, 7 high dependency cots, and 12 special care cots.

We provide care to all newborn babies within SSBC Neonatal Network from 23/40 weeks gestation. We are a cooling center for the West Midlands Neonatal Network. The post holder must be highly motivated and eager to develop the service as well as their personal skills and knowledge.

All applicants should be flexible, providing 24-hour, 7-days-a-week service, working a shift pattern of days and nights to meet the needs of the service. We can consider flexible working and part-time hours.

We have a Practice Education team, Quality and Experience Nurse team, and SIM team to support your transition, ongoing education, and support.

We advocate staff support and wellbeing with Professional Advocate Nurses and a Clinical Psychologist.
