Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Cambridge invites applications for Neonatal Operational Delivery Network Clinical Lead on a fixed-term basis for 12 months (2 PAs). Part-time, two sessions per week.

Qualifications

• Hold a substantive consultant post in Neonatology or Paediatrics with significant neonatal practice.
• Be registered with the General Medical Council and hold a Licence to Practise.
• Demonstrate experience of clinical leadership and service development.
• Have a strong track record in quality improvement, governance, or network working.
• Possess excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Be committed to improving outcomes and experiences for babies and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and clinical leadership to the Neonatal ODN.
• Support the delivery of the ODN work programme and strategic objectives.
• Lead the development and implementation of network-wide clinical pathways, guidelines, and standards.
• Promote quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical governance across the network.
• Work collaboratively with neonatal units, maternity services, transport services, and tertiary centres.
• Champion equity of access and reduce unwarranted variation in care and outcomes.
• Support workforce development, education, and training initiatives.
• Represent the ODN at regional and national meetings as require.
