Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting applications for Band 5 neonatal nurses based at Addenbrooke's Hospital. The role offers range of shifts with full-time, part-time and flexible working patterns.

The successful candidates will undertake the in-house Neonatal Course to become qualified in Speciality Neonatal Nursing, enabling care for babies requiring high levels of support in Intensive Care.

Qualifications

• Current registration with NMC on part one or two of the register.
• Experience in paediatric/neonatal or critical care settings is desirable.
• Evidence of continuing professional development is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective care to intensive care, high dependency and special care neonates.
• Assess care needs, plan, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
• Participate in supervision, mentorship and appraisal of pre- and post-registration staff.
