An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Neighbourhoods Coordinator to join our Neighbourhoods Liaison Team on a permanent basis.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details

Our Neighbourhood Liaison Team work closely with residents, communities, elected members and partners to ensure we are delivering the right service at the right time and critically work with communities to improve their neighbourhood.

We are looking for a team player with a passion for improving lives by enhancing our customers environments and experiences. You should be completely customer focused and willing to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our customers. You will take a proactive approach in engaging communities, customers and colleagues that will help shape how we deliver services.

You should have experience of working in customer focused and partnership environments. You should have first class influencing skills with a natural flare for building professional relationships. You should be a self-motivated, organised individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for change. You will have a knowledge of council services, an understanding of community structures, an awareness of the climate emergency, good IT skills and have the ability to analyse and interpret data. The successful candidate will take ownership of their designated neighbourhoods and regularly inspect and monitor service delivery and provide improvement plans that will allow you to work with operational colleagues to implement changes and improvements. On occasion, there is a requirement to attend meetings out-with normal office hours.

Evidence of personal development is an essential requirement for this role. Whilst a relevant degree/qualification, and post qualifying experience, is desirable.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: 35 hours

Work Pattern: Monday - Friday

Annual Salary: £36,319.27 - £42,291.40 on an incremental scale
