About Us
On behalf of the residents and communities of Middlesbrough, we take a pro-active and determined approach to tackling anti-social behaviour, improving quality of life and reducing the fear of crime.
We are now seeking to fill a vacancy, which has arisen within our extremely successful team. Applications are invited from suitably experienced and committed people, for the post of Neighbourhood Safety Officer within the Council’s Neighbourhood Infrastructure.

You will need to have high levels of motivation, commitment and enthusiasm and possess relevant skills and qualifications to manage a challenging workload. The post- holder will investigate and take action against perpetrators of anti-social behaviour utilising a range of measures.
You will have knowledge of Crime and Disorder and Anti-Social Behaviour legislation and will ideally have experience of resolving anti-social behaviour within a similar environment. You will have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently using your own initiative, prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and be prepared when the need arises to work outside of normal working hours. You will also need to be an exceptionally good communicator who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of Middlesbrough residents and have the personal skills to carry this out.
Please note, this is a fixed term vacancy until 31st March 2027.
