The Vacancy

Are you passionate about making a difference and improving our neighbourhoods?

Our Neighbourhood Officers are at the heart of what we do as an organisation. We have a great opportunity for a Neighbourhood Officer to join our Localities team, providing comprehensive housing management services, working with communities and neighbourhoods around East Lindsey. This role will mainly be based in Mablethorpe and Alford, but other locations in East Lindsey may be considered for the right candidate.

You will take a proactive, hands-on approach, helping customers manage their tenancies and enhance our neighbourhoods. You will be out and about in your designated area, working closely with customers to promote sustainable tenancies and develop strong community relationships.

This role is on a fixed-term contract until 28th March.

Responsibilities include:

  • Visiting customers to provide advice, review tenancies, and identify issues.
  • Inspecting estates regularly, reporting and monitoring health and safety or safeguarding concerns.
  • Building relationships within local communities and collaborating with other agencies and colleagues.
  • Managing tenancy issues such as anti-social behaviour, property conditions, fly tipping, or safeguarding concerns.
  • Undertaking new tenancy sign-ups and accompanied viewings for new homes.

Requirements:

  • Experience in social housing, especially tenancy management, ASB, and safeguarding.
  • Experience working closely with customers on complex issues.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle or transportation means.
  • Location suitable for easy travel around the required area.
  • Basic DBS check required.
