Job summary

Westray Recruitment Group seeks a Project Quantity Surveyor to join a Chartered QS consultancy with NEC4 specialization. The role focuses on NEC4 contract delivery across power, infrastructure, and utility projects, supporting professional development and long-term progression.

You will manage NEC4 contracts, develop contractual and commercial expertise, and travel to site as needed. A degree in QS or related field is preferred, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in QS, Commercial Management or Engineering.
• Detailed understanding of NEC4 contracts.
• Experience administering NEC contracts would be advantageous.
• Good commercial awareness with ability to identify and manage risk.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Support administration and commercial management of NEC4 contracts.
• Apply detailed NEC4 contract knowledge—including Main/Secondary Options, Contract Data, compensation events.
• Lead and contribute to contractual communications and NEC4 processes.
• Support early warning, risk mitigation and cost control.
• Manage compensation events, valuations and commercial reporting.
• Provide commercial insight to support project efficiency and outcomes.
• Work with clients, contractors and subcontractors to assess programme impacts.
• Promote strong contract governance and effective risk management.
