NEC4 Project Manager

Job description

A major multi-million pound Highway project is heading to Site in May and I am looking for an NEC4 Project Manager to deliver the scheme over the next 18 months.

This role will be to assess tender documentation, prepare contract documentation, attend meetings with stakeholders and other relevant parties, review work programmes, monitor materials as they come onto site and ensure that timescales are being adhered to.

The ideal NEC4 Project Manager will have prior experience of a Local Authority major highways project but this is not essential; if you are NEC4 Accredited please do still apply.

NEC4 Project Manager Requirements

1. Hold a degree or equivalent experience in construction project management or other relevant construction management qualification with post qualification experience in infrastructure, civil engineering, and public realm.
2. Be an accredited NEC3 or 4 Project Management Practitioner, or demonstrable knowledge and implementation of the NEC Form of Contract, with a willingness to become accredited.
3. Demonstrable evidence of having delivered a portfolio of projects of more than £5m each.
4. Demonstrable Local Authority/Public Sector Experience.
5. Hold a Professional Qualification: PRINCE2, APM or equivalent and be a member of or be working towards a related full membership of a construction-related professional body i.e., CoB etc.
6. Working knowledge of applicable industry standard forms of contract i.e. NEC and JCT.
7. Understanding and awareness of the NEC suite of contracts, particularly Professional Service Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
8. Demonstrable technical writing skills and knowledge of reading drawings and tender documents, etc.
