Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the UK is seeking an experienced NEC Supervisor to help deliver large-scale construction programmes in Derby. You will provide on-site scrutiny, ensure correct materials and standards, and report to Project Leads across the Recap Programme.

Qualifications

  • NEC Supervisor or NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
  • Relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant construction experience and a good understanding of construction methods.
  • Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence, delivering to agreed quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively within a large project team, including technical advisors and construction managers, and be confident using digital systems to access project information and record defects.
  • A good working knowledge of the NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake NEC Supervisor services as defined in the NEC3 ECC, reporting into the Project Leads for each element of the Recap Programme.
  • Reports into the Project Lead appropriate to the project being worked upon.
  • Have a regular presence on site, providing independent scrutiny of the works, ensuring the correct materials are used and to the correct standards.
  • Have foresight, to enable the identification of issues/potential issues and prevent them from occurring.
  • Manage any defects that do arise.
  • Witness any testing.
  • Attend progress meetings.
  • Issue communications as per the requirements of the contract.
  • Work in conjunction with the Project Manager, making them aware of any issues observed.
  • Maintain contemporary records of all observations.

Job Description
