Job Summary

Alys Beach is seeking an experienced Server/Bartender for Neat Tasting Room & Bottle Shop, located within the Alys Beach community, Florida. Neat provides a unique experience with a team service mentality. The Bartender plays a vital role in our service team. Candidates should be energetic, positive, and possess a genuine hospitality attitude.

Job Responsibilities

1. Utilize proper food handling and service techniques.
2. Take beverage orders from staff or patrons, serve wine, beer, and mix cocktails.
3. Take and serve meal and drink orders promptly and courteously.
4. Follow cleaning schedules; maintain cleanliness of bars, work areas, and glassware.
5. Assist with training new employees.
6. Follow safety and loss prevention procedures.
7. Maintain appearance, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
8. Handle cash transactions and balance receipts.
9. Verify customer age for alcohol purchase; manage intoxicated patrons responsibly.
10. Stock bar supplies and maintain inventory.

Job Requirements

1. 1+ year of full-service bar/restaurant experience preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of beverages: beer, wine, liquor.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Ability to stay calm and professional under stress.

Essential Job Functions

1. Stand for 8 hours.
2. Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; reach, bend, squat as needed.
3. Work in environments with smoke, steam, high temperatures, and humidity.
4. Communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
5. Stay organized in a dynamic environment.
6. Read, speak, and write English proficiently.
7. Perform basic math; demonstrate strong analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

1. Cicerone Level 1 certification.
