NDY in London is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Mission Critical team and help expand our European capabilities on landmark projects, including data centers, hospitals, AI-connected campuses and logistics facilities.

You will lead design delivery, review electrical systems, mentor engineers and represent NDY in client meetings while ensuring quality and successful commissioning of contractor works.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status and relevant accreditations.
• Strong technical background with 5+ years in electrical building services design; experience in mission critical sectors is a plus.

NDY Senior Electrical Engineer - Mission Critical, London

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer, Mission Critical space to get involved in expanding our team in London and help further strengthen our technical capabilities in Europe whilst working on landmark projects.

You will be joining the Electrical team, with role will predominantly be focused on overseeing the delivery of Mission Critical projects including data center's, power grid upgrades, hospital facility systems, AI connected campuses, telecommunications, and advanced logistics projects

• Design and review of Electrical system designs for a range of Mission Critical projects
• Act as a sounding board for Electrical engineers in the office, offering design direction and guidance
• Peer review of designs and specifications of Electrical systems
• Play an active role in developing the Electrical team technical capability
• Be expected to lead projects and represent NDY externally in project and technical meetings
• Providing client oversight of contractor works and oversee contractor install and commissioning in projects
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and contacts on new and emerging technologies and their application
• Ensure that NDY's quality system is implemented and maintained on all projects
• Support with business development and identifying opportunities for new work, including assistance with project bid and interview phases
  

Who we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, from an accredited institution (equivalent qualifications in a similar field may lso be considered)
• IT literate, with good knowledge of using Microsoft Office applications
• Chartered Engineer status and relevant accreditations
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels across multiple disciplines, as well as familiarity with external client interactions
• Great interpersonal skills, a team player and a genuine interest in helping others (including development of junior staff)
• Very strong technical skills required (minimum 5 years electrical building services design experience; ideally 7+ years)
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to make informed decisions
• Knowledge of Electrical design principles, standards and codes, and design guides (including BCO)
• Experience of reviewing witnessing commissioning and overseeing Electrical installations by contractor on projects
• A strong understanding of various Electrical systems and their applications
• Well-developed problem-solving skills, and a "think outside the box" mentality
• Familiarity with the full range of design stages, from concept right through to detailed design and construction administration.
• A general understanding of other engineering disciplines including electrical, public health and fire protection is highly desirable.
