Qualifications

  • Qualified NDT Technician with Level 2 qualifications in at least two testing methods.

Job description

NDT Technician Early/Late Shift

Location: Brackley, UK

Join the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, where passionate and dedicated individuals work to design, develop, manufacture, and race cars with the goal of winning world championships every year.

Our team spans Operations, Technical, Race, and Business Support functions, all committed to building the greatest team in our sport's history.

This role operates Monday to Friday on rotating early and late shifts: early shift from 06:00 to 14:30, late shift from 14:00 to 22:30.

About the role:

As our NDT Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Performing in-process and final quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
  2. Recording, evaluating test results, and generating NDT inspection reports.
  3. Highlighting non-conformances and contributing to product and process quality improvements.
  4. Maintaining test equipment and ensuring calibration.
  5. Understanding material properties, manufacturing processes, and their impact on the end product.
  6. Participating in improvement initiatives related to lead-time, quality, health and safety, and documentation.
What we are looking for:
  • Qualified NDT Technician with PCN or Aerospace (EN 4179) Level 2 qualifications in at least two of the following: Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPI), Eddy Current (EDT), or Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI).
  • Experience with Digital Radiography and CT, or a Level 3 qualification in any of these methods, is advantageous.
  • Effective communication skills with production, design, and management teams.
  • Proficiency in PC skills and report writing.
  • Flexibility in working hours, a proactive attitude, and ability to work independently and in teams.
