Qualifications

Job Title: NDT Technician

Industry: Engineering

Location: Southend-on-Sea

Salary: £32,000 p/a

Our client is currently seeking a skilled NDT Technician to join their dynamic team. As an NDT Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in compliance with legislative and customer-specific requirements, ensuring high standards of safety and quality in inspections.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee daily operations in the NDT inspection area(s), ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  2. Set up NDT equipment and conduct in-service control checks for operational readiness.
  3. Carry out NDT inspections on newly manufactured and in-service components.
  4. Follow all relevant regulatory agency, customer, and company policies and procedures.
  5. Execute tasks with a strong emphasis on safety.
  6. Interpret and evaluate inspection results against established customer specifications.
  7. Develop and document inspection techniques that meet customer requirements.
  8. Maintain accurate technical records of NDT inspections and related activities.
  9. Train and mentor Level 1 trainees under the supervision of the responsible technician.
  10. Undertake other related responsibilities as assigned by management.
Experience and Skills Required:
  1. Must hold EN4179 certification.
  2. Basic understanding of EASA, CAA, and FAA requirements is desirable.
