The role
As NDT Technician you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll provide support to the Successor Project by carrying out the following tasks;

• Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) in compliance with SNT-TC-1A standards.
• Conduct Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, and Ultrasonic inspections on welds and machined components.
• Follow approved procedures, techniques, and risk assessments to ensure safe and accurate work.
• Maintain timely and precise reporting of all NDT activities.
• Communicate and update inspection metrics regularly based on daily operations.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with established safety protocols.

Please note that this position is based onsite in Rosyth, 36hrs/ week Monday- Friday dayshifts/ nightshifts on two weeks rotation.

Essential experience of NDT Technician

• Strong technical expertise in NDT practices, standards, and interpreting technical drawings.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and decision-making ability.
• Highly organised, capable of managing tight deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
• Proficient in IT tools, including Microsoft Office and IFS systems.
• Analytical thinker, skilled in identifying problems and implementing practical solutions.

Qualifications for the NDT Technician

• As a minimum hold PCN Level II in MT, PT, UT (3.1, 3.2, 3.8, 3.9)
• Proven knowledge of the practices and standards associated with the NDT;
• VT and RT Rad Interp PCN Level 2 - desirable
• Experience of Advanced Ultrasonic Techniques - desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
