Job summary

An established industry player is seeking an NDT Inspector to join their Utilities team in Glasgow. This role involves conducting high-quality inspections using advanced techniques such as Ultrasonic Testing and Eddy Current Testing across various worksites. The ideal candidate will be certified in Ultrasonic Inspection Level 2 and possess a willingness to travel nationally for outdoor inspections. You will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry standards while working closely with clients and project teams. Job Description

TEXO have a fantastic opportunity for an NDT Inspector to join our Utilities team located in Glasgow. This role involves conducting high-quality inspections across worksites, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level 2 inspections on utility infrastructure.
  2. Perform Phased Array, Eddy Current Testing (ECT), Visual Testing (VT), and Pulsed Eddy Current (PECT) where applicable on pipelines, structures, and other assets in outdoor/countryside environments.
  3. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  4. Work closely with clients and project teams to deliver accurate inspection reports.
  5. Maintain NDT equipment as needed.
  6. Travel to worksites and adapt to wet, muddy, or challenging terrain.

Requirements:

  1. Ultrasonic Inspection Level 2 (Certified & Current).
  2. Willingness to travel nationally and work in outdoor/rural environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Eddy Current Level 2, Visual Testing, Phased Array & Pulsed Eddy Current (PECT).
  2. CSCS Card, CSE (2-day Medium Risk), NWHS Blue Card (or willingness to obtain – training can be provided).
