Job description

A highly regarded aerospace manufacturing business is recruiting for an experienced Level 2 FPI Technician to join its Burnley based facility. Specialising in the manufacture of complex engine components, our client offers the opportunity for an experienced aerospace Level 2 to undertake a busy, hands-on role and work within a small but well-experienced NDT team across three lines within its facility.

The person:
  1. Level 2 FPI (EN4179) qualified with experience of working with both water washable and post-emulsifiable penetrants in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  2. Experience of processing aircraft engine components would be useful.
  3. A team player, willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with the team.
  4. An individual focused on wanting to achieve positive results and being part of a positive culture.
  5. Happy to work an alternating shift system of earlies and lates.
  6. Existing training hours / L2 qualification in MPI and / or radiography (film experience would be useful since the company facilitates a small amount of mag work and also operates DR, but an interest in potentially achieving OJT in these methods is a huge plus as there is a very real prospect that this role will develop into a cross-functional position across the NDT department in the future).

This is a role that stands firmly in an employee-centric business, where our client goes the extra mile to look after its staff, as shown in the hugely competitive benefits package on offer with this role, which includes: a 10% employer-based contributions pension, private medical, 5X death in service benefit, and an early finish on a Friday. The basic salary is £30,500 + shift allowance on top, bringing an uplift to £36,500 per annum.

If you aspire for your next career move to be within a friendly, down-to-earth business, with plenty of opportunities for personal development, please send your CV to Leanne Evans, NDT Operations Manager.
