Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking an experienced NDT Supervisor to lead the delivery of NDT works at the Hinkley Point C project. You will organise the NDT team, ensure safe and timely execution, and conform to company, customer and site processes.

The role requires PCN Level 2 MPI/DPI with Level 3 preferred, strong planning and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure on a major nuclear build site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of PCN Level 2 MPI and DPI; Level 3 preferred.
• SMSTS and ILM desired but not essential.
• Proven track record in a similar role.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and to a deadline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise NDT activities to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
• Conduct pre-job walk-downs of areas planned for NDT works.
• Assign personnel and equipment to meet productivity demands.
• Coordinate with Material Coordinators regarding equipment and materials deployment.
• Ensure equipment function tests and area checks are performed and NDT is safe to proceed.
• Attend Daily Radiography Teams Meetings and update opposite shift supervision.
• Organise permits to work and assist in RAMS development.
• Maintain safe working practices during NDT, including barriers, signage and PPE.
• Liaise with customer and contractor supervision to avoid conflicts with SIMOPS.
• Report near-hits/first-aid/accidents within two hours using the First Alert Form.
• Provide technical support to onsite personnel delivering NDT scopes.
