Qualifications

  • Experience in NDT or similar technical inspection roles.
  • Confidence reading engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with digital x-ray systems or ASNT Level 1 Radiography (desirable).
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong data analysis and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • X-Ray Inspection – Digital radiography and CT scanning for anomaly detection.
  • Proof Testing – Live testing of assembled components.
  • Leak Testing – Helium testing with a mass spectrometer to tight specifications.
  • Visual Inspection – Ensuring all units meet rigorous engineering standards.
  • Assembly & Marking – Mechanical assembly build and inkjet part marking.
  • Packing – Safe, compliant packaging of high-value components.
  • Support Tasks – Movement of parts, tooling, and assisting with stock/hardware.

Skills

Experience in NDT or similar technical inspection roles

NDT Operative

Location: Based near Stadhampton, Oxfordshire
Salary: £28,000 per annum (Shift allowance on top from 2026)
Hours: Mon–Thurs 08:00–16:45, Fri 08:00–12:00 (until Jan 2026), then 4-on-4-off shifts (8am to 5:30pm)

We’re recruiting several NDT Operatives on behalf of a world-renowned aerospace manufacturer based near Stadhampton, Oxfordshire. The company designs and manufactures life-saving technology used by aircrew around the globe.

From January 2026, this position will operate on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (08:00–17:30) with shift allowance on top in the £28,000 salary. Until then, you'll work standard weekday hours without shift allowance.
