Job summary

RLC (UK) Ltd is seeking an NDT inspector with EN4179/NAS410 PT2 qualifications to perform FPI processing and generate accurate records. You will work within a team, ensuring traceability and compliance with standard work instructions while supporting continuous improvements.

Role involves reading specifications, conducting inspections (acid/blue etch), and possibly handling chemical additions after training.

Qualifications

• PT Level 2 qualification per EN4179/NAS410
• Experience in an NDT role; aerospace experience preferred
• Able to read and understand standard work instructions and use computers

Responsibilities

• Process parts through the FPI process and issue non-conformance reports
• Complete records accurately and efficiently
• Follow company standard work instructions and maintain traceability
• Provide feedback to Value Stream Manager and Quality teams
• Assist with chemical additions and tank changes after training
• Perform acid etch and blue etch anodise inspection prior to PT testing
• Support the cell leader in training and skill transfer
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to resolve issues
• Complete administrative duties (Tropos reporting, maintenance requests)
• Work extended hours to meet customer demand
• There are two positions: day shift and night shift

Job description

Job Purpose

The inspection of aerospace components, ensuring the parts are processed to the highest standard following internal and customer requirements.

Main Duties

Processing of parts through the FPI process and producing non-conformance reports as required.

Completion of all associated records in an accurate and efficient manner.

Ability to work to company standard work instructions as defined by the quality and the leadership team.

Achieve high standards of quality in line with targeted levels of output whilst working safely and maintaining full product traceability.

Provide constructive verbal and written feedback to Value Stream Manager and Quality with regards to potential issues and improvements.

Once trained, aid with chemical additions and tank changes to processing lines.

Once trained, complete acid etch and blue etch anodise inspection of parts prior to PT testing.

Working as part of a team, you are encouraged to contribute to improving any working processes.

Accurately perform appropriate administrative duties, such as Tropos reporting, maintenance requests and completion of aerospace records.

Support the cell leader in training and transferring job skills and knowledge as required and in-line with company strategy.

Actively look to resolve problems with the support and in collaboration with our engineering and quality teams.

Person Specification

EN4179/NAS410 PT Level 2 Qualifications

Proven experience in an NDT role; Aerospace experience desired but not essential

Must be capable of reading and understanding standard work instructions and specifications and adept in the use of computers

Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality.

Reliable and very determined to achieve targets set.

Strong communicator

Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team

A highly skilled individual that is reliable, dependable, and committed to the needs of the business.

When required, the ability to work extended hours to meet customer demand and expectations.
