Job summary

Risktec Solutions, part of the TV Rheinland Group, seeks experienced NDT Engineers with pressure systems knowledge to join its Asset Integrity Management team in Derby, UK. The successful candidates will play a key role in delivering inspection solutions for major hazards in power and clean energy sectors.

Must hold PCN Level 2 in magnetic particle, penetrant and ultrasonic testing of welds; PCN Level 2 PA/TOFD and PCN Level 3 in any testing method are advantages.

Qualifications

• Must hold PCN Level 2 in MT, PT and UT welds.
• PCN Level 3 in any testing method is an advantage.
• NEBOSH General Certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise outage inspection activities for clients.
• Liaise with clients and other key stakeholders during outages.
• Inspect a range of plant components, focusing on steam and water pressure parts.

Job description

You should have:Good practical experience in the inspection of a range of plant components, in particular steam and water pressure parts (both in the new / as-installed condition and after in-service degradation has taken place). An appreciation of the damage / degradation mechanisms that can take place on the components being inspected. Working in conventional power or clean energy sectors (primarily CCGT, Biomass and Energy from Waste plants).It would also be an advantage to have:Experience in the ultrasonic testing of branch connections. Experience of working on plant outages, including a proven track record in a coordinating / supervisory role for outage inspection activities, including liaison with the client and other key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:As a minimum you must hold PCN Level 2 certification in magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing and ultrasonic testing of welds. The following would be a particular advantage, Certification to PCN Level 2 in phased array ultrasonic testing and / or TOFD. Certification to PCN Level 3 in any testing method, Project management experience. NEBOSH General Certificate.
