Job summary

Risktec Solutions, part of the TV Rheinland Group, seeks experienced NDT Engineers with pressure systems knowledge for its Asset Integrity Management team in Derby, UK. You will play a key role delivering solutions for clients in the conventional power and clean energy sectors, coordinating outage inspections and liaising with stakeholders.

The role focuses on plant inspections, including steam and water pressure parts, with advantageous experience in ultrasonic testing of branch connections.

Qualifications

• Minimum PCN Level 2 in MT/PT/UT and related methods.
• Desirable PCN Level 2 in phased array UT and/or TOFD.
• PCN Level 3 in any testing method is a plus.
• NEBOSH General Certificate is required or advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead outage inspection activities coordinating with client and stakeholders.
• Inspect pressure systems — steam, water, and related components.
• Supervise and coordinate outages and on-site inspection teams.

Job description

You should have:Good practical experience in the inspection of a range of plant components, in particular steam and water pressure parts (both in the new / as-installed condition and after in-service degradation has taken place). An appreciation of the damage / degradation mechanisms that can take place on the components being inspected. Working in conventional power or clean energy sectors (primarily CCGT, Biomass and Energy from Waste plants).It would also be an advantage to have:Experience in the ultrasonic testing of branch connections. Experience of working on plant outages, including a proven track record in a coordinating / supervisory role for outage inspection activities, including liaison with the client and other key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:As a minimum you must hold PCN Level 2 certification in magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing and ultrasonic testing of welds. The following would be a particular advantage, Certification to PCN Level 2 in phased array ultrasonic testing and / or TOFD. Certification to PCN Level 3 in any testing method, Project management experience. NEBOSH General Certificate.
