Salary: + benefits

Location: Reading / Basingstoke

Salary Range: £49,480 - £68,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

Working Pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. We consider flexible working requests. Please specify your preferred work pattern in your application.

Role Overview:

You will lead and manage the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) resource within Production Quality, delivering to Programmes and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This role involves working as part of a cross-functional team to drive improvements through collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the NDT Development team to meet demand.
  • Support NDT staff in their Continued Professional Development.
  • Plan and manage NDT team resources within Product Engineering.
  • Support the Safe System of Work for NDT.
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of NDT technical assessments and inspection results using appropriate methodologies.
  • Engage with the wider team, stakeholders, and other functions to improve output.
  • Promote high standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
  • Perform other duties as required by the business.
Candidate Profile:
  • Experience in engineering or a similar NDT field.
  • Understanding of NDT and Quality Inspection within Product Engineering.
  • HNC/HND or higher in engineering or physics.
  • Ability to inspire others and work well in a team.
