Job Description

The Job Mission

As part of the NSSS organisation, you will coordinate Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities and assess welding performance on-site for the NSSS scope. Your role will ensure the progress of installation works and compliance with nuclear safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure HSE management within your scope, particularly radiographic risk management.
  • Coordinate all NDT activities, including Radiographic, Ultrasonic, Penetrant, and Visual Testing.
  • Prepare radiographic documentation and perform readiness reviews.
  • Define exclusion zones in collaboration with contractors.
  • Optimise NDT performance with other contracts, especially BNI piping activities.
  • Monitor welding quality, productivity, and defect rates on-site.
  • Track FCR/NCR/RFI issues related to NDT activities.
  • Ensure documentation is prepared for hydropressure tests and commissioning.
  • Provide technical expertise on welding and NDT for NSSS site activities.
  • Validate and report progress during weekly NSSS meetings.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), preferably in nuclear projects.
  • High standards in quality management, nuclear safety culture, and documentation control.
  • Strong technical and leadership skills to manage contractors and coordinate teams.
  • Excellent oral communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work autonomously while recognising limitations.

• Desired:
  • Degree in Welding/Mechanical Engineering, ideally IWE certification.
  • Chartered Engineer with a relevant institution.
  • Strong understanding of PWR design and construction, particularly NSSS systems.
  • Knowledge of RCC-M standards.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations.
