Job Description

This role supports the management of the NDT scope for Hinkley Point C. You will work across multiple stakeholders to ensure the quality execution of the NDT contract and help implement advanced PAUT solutions replacing conventional radiography.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate with NDT Project Manager and Technical Lead for site engineering delivery.
  2. Manage and update contractor document lists and surveillance plans.
  3. Drive the deployment of PAUT in place of radiographic testing.
  4. Respond to technical queries and early warnings from site teams.
  5. Ensure alignment between NDT and MEH installation contracts.
  6. Support on-site integration with other engineering and project teams.
  7. Make on-site decisions within defined engineering boundaries.
  8. Report to the Engineering Construction Lead with regular progress updates.
Qualifications

Essential Skills: Experience in NDT or contract engineering within complex project environments; familiarity with multiple NDT techniques including PAUT; strong understanding of engineering standards and safety; ability to deliver under pressure; stakeholder management; autonomous working; technical documentation skills; commercial awareness.

Desired Skills: Degree in Engineering or relevant field; Chartered Engineer status or working towards it; knowledge of PWR systems; proficiency in French or knowledge of CDM Regulations; Ultrasonic Testing certification (e.g., PCN).
