Description of role:
TWI are seeking to appoint an experienced NDT Chief Engineer/Consultant to support the “NDT Inspection Services” Section of the “Non-Destructive testing” (NDT) Group.
This work will include in-house and customer consultancy support, authoring and review of Level 3 documentation, support to invigilation, audit, expert witness and standard committees, business development, mentoring and delivery of state-of-the art advanced NDT projects.
The Chief Engineer will have a minimum of one CSWIP/PCN Level 3 qualification in an ultrasonic technique, an appropriate qualification at degree level and extensive knowledge the application of NDT to industry. A postdoctoral qualification and/or experience in nuclear or defence sectors would be of advantage.
The NIS section delivers a broad range of projects to an international customer base often with competing demands and the requirement to co-ordinate multiple priorities in a fast paced, continually changing environment. As a Chief Engineer in our team, you will propose, manage and deliver projects for TWI Member Companies, as well as supporting day-to-day customer enquiries. To be successful you will need to:

Travel:
This position will require travel on a short term basis within the UK and overseas according to the demand of project work and client interactions. This role can be offered as a hybrid role with two days working in the closest office/customer sites and the remainder working at home.
