NDT Assistant Technician

Location: Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset

Start Date – September 2025

Main Purpose

The NDT Assistant Technician is responsible for assisting NDT trades operatives and patrolling barriers, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently, in accordance with company procedures.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist inspection operatives and be familiar with manual handling and safety processes.
• Operate to high standards within company or client standards.
• Adhere to relevant procedures.
• Handle materials and equipment for general labouring and inspection assistance.
• Assist radiography team with erection of radiation-controlled area barriers.
• Patrol barriers, restrict access to authorized personnel, and communicate with radiography team.
• Be aware of permits and environmental hazards.
• Participate in daily briefings and risk assessments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by site management.

Experience & Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Teamwork and cooperation skills.
• CCNSG Safety Passport – desirable (training provided if necessary).
• Hinkley Support Operative (HSO) Bronze – desirable (training provided if necessary).
• Experience on construction or nuclear sites – desirable.
