Job summary

Keoghs LLP in Bolton is seeking an NDA File Handler to join its award-winning Counter Fraud division. You will manage a litigious caseload of suspected fraud RTA claims and work with insurers and Lead Lawyers to investigate, challenge and defend dishonest claims.

The role emphasizes analyzing evidence, developing litigation strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Experience handling civil litigation claims or working as a legal file handler.
• Experience managing pre-litigated and/or litigated RTA claims.
• Knowledge of insurance litigation processes and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
• Strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Excellent communication and client-handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Managing a litigated caseload of suspected fraud RTA claims from litigation through to resolution.
• Reviewing and analysing evidence to develop effective case strategies.
• Working closely with insurer clients on a non-delegated basis.
• Conducting investigations and progressing cases in line with procedural deadlines.
• Identifying strategic litigation opportunities and emerging fraud trends.
• Delivering excellent client service while achieving performance and financial targets.
• Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring regulatory compliance.

We're recruiting for an ambitious and driven NDA File Handler to join our award-winning Counter Fraud division. You'll manage a litigated caseload of suspected fraudulent motor claims, working closely with insurers, fraud specialists and experienced Lead Lawyers to investigate, challenge and defend dishonest claims. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys analysing evidence, developing litigation strategies and achieving successful outcomes for clients.

The caseload will consist of a range of suspected fraudulent insurance claims consisting of the following types of claim:

• Bogus Passenger
• Staged/Contrived
• Fraudulent Exaggeration
• Induced accidents
• Low Speed Impact
• Late Notification Claims
• Credit Hire Fraud
• MIB
• Linked & Organised Crime

Key Responsibilities

• Managing a litigated caseload of suspected fraud RTA claims from litigation through to resolution
• Reviewing and analysing evidence to develop effective case strategies

Working Hours

35 hours per week

Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.

Primary location for this role is Bolton, Parklands Office.

We are agile workers with attendance at our offices at least 1 day a week

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience handling civil litigation claims or working as a legal file handler
• Experience managing pre-litigated and/or litigated RTA claims
• Knowledge of insurance litigation processes and the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
• Strong analytical and investigative skills
• Excellent communication and client-handling abilities
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure
• Experience with time recording, billing systems and case management systems

Desirable:

• Experience handling linked and organised fraud matters
• Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer, ILEX qualification with necessary practising rights
