A Nerve Conduction Study (NCS) Technologist is under the direct supervision of an EDX physician (electrodiagnostic (EDX) physicians (neurologists or physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, "physiatrists") and learns and observes the functions of NCSs by group and/or individual teaching, observation, assigned reading, and practical application

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements Identify items that are minimally required to perform the essential functions of this position. | Preferred or Specialized Not required to perform the essential functions of the position. |
Education: | An Associate's degree or higher preferred, or enrollment in a CAAHEP-accredited neurodiagnostic program. |
Experience: | 1-2 years preferred |
License(s)/Certification(s): | A Technologist I may have 6 months personal supervision training under a Technologist III or higher with direct supervision of an EDX physician. CPR A Technologist (a trainee) should pursue 12 consecutive months of training in performing NCSs under direct supervision of an EDX physician. |
