Lloyd’s Register Advisory provides services to the maritime supply chain, supporting design, construction, and operation of assets with a focus on safety, performance, and ROI. Our experts cover maritime technology, design, risk, machinery, materials, sustainability, fuels, business strategy, digitisation, and safety, addressing industry challenges.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Lloyd’s Register Advisory as the manager of the 'Naval Architecture - Ship Design' team. You will lead a team of naval architects providing services including design studies, drawings, risk assessments, yard and vendor evaluations, failure investigations, and operational assessments. You will also support sales activities and help raise LR Advisory’s profile in Naval Architecture.

You will be based in Southampton or London, with a team in Southampton and Singapore. Occasional travel for client work and business development is required.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for naval architecture and ship design, strong commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills. Experience in team growth and business development in technical environments is preferred.

  • Ability to manage complex projects and teams
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in English and technical reporting
  • Knowledge of NAPA, MAXsurf, Rhino, AutoCAD or equivalents
