As a Graduate Naval Architect at Babcock, you will embark on an accredited two-year rotation through some of the most complex engineering projects in the world today.
You will define your career path within the programme, choosing placements that align with your ambitions, guided by a professional mentor and supported by the early careers team.
We encourage mobility across sectors to broaden your experience and exposure to our business.
This area involves diverse activities across various projects and sites, including docking nuclear submarines, assessing aircraft carrier flight decks, analyzing mooring arrangements, designing systems for explosive events, and defining stability requirements for polar surfacing.
You will work alongside and learn from some of the most respected naval architects and structural engineers worldwide.
You will learn to analyze and design aspects of floating vessels and structures, contributing to the wider business.
Previous graduates have worked on naval ships, submarines, small boats, commercial vessels, unmanned surface vessels, and next-generation submarines.
Within Babcock, you’ll have opportunities for research, attending and presenting at industry conferences, and professional development towards Chartered Engineer status, with strong links to professional and academic institutions.
