Quest Global is responsible for the design, specification, and control of gas turbine projects worldwide. This vacancy is for a consultant Naval Architect to develop a strategy to certify a warship powerplant in accordance with Lloyds Register Naval Ship Rules (NSR) 2020.
The role involves defining Lloyds Register requirements, specifying engagement points with Lloyds Register Naval Ship Rules, and conducting compliance activities to ensure the gas turbine powerplant installation complies with Lloyds standards. This is a 12-month Outside IR35 contract based in Bristol, UK, requiring 100% on-site work due to UK Defence content.
Excellent understanding of Lloyds Register Naval Ship Rules (NSR) 2020, especially for warships and powerplants. Knowledge of technical databases, design documentation, and data manipulation. Familiarity with export and intellectual property controls. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Teams is desirable.
BSc/MSc/MEng in engineering or science, or equivalent aerospace/marine industry experience.
