Required Qualifications
- BSc/MSc/MEng in engineering or science, or equivalent aerospace or marine industry experience
- Understanding of Lloyds Register Naval Ship Rules (NSR) 2020, especially for warships and powerplants
- Experience with technical databases, design documentation, technical drawings, data manipulation, and technical reports
- Knowledge of export control and intellectual property regulations for design data transfer
- Proficiency in MS Office; MS Teams experience is a plus
Roles and Responsibilities
- Review Inspection and Test Plans for the powerplant
- Develop Lloyds Strategy Document based on previous strategies
- Establish communication channels for Lloyds Certification with OEMs, Build Lines, Purchasing, and Design Approval Documentation
- Lead activities to certify powerplant programs according to Lloyds requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and optimize certification strategies
- Assess OEM-created substantiation for Drawing Approval Documents (DAD)
- Liaise with Lloyds Register to ensure certification plans are followed
- Define and agree on Inspection & Test Plans with suppliers and Lloyds representatives
- Seek opportunities to streamline certification processes while maintaining compliance
- Identify and escalate risks related to non-compliance, costs, and timelines
- Provide feedback for continuous improvement
