About Us

Climate Policy Radar is on a mission to help people access and understand long climate-related documents. Nearly 350,000 users from over 100 countries already use our open databases and AI-based research tools to search through 500,000+ pages of climate-related documents from every single country.

We care deeply about creating trustworthy tools that have a real impact on climate decisions. Our exciting, impactful work is right at the cutting edge of AI, and at the epicentre of global climate action. We are continuing to expand our work: bringing in and structuring even more documents, improving our search and synthesis functionality, and making it easier for people to make sense of the evidence they need for better, faster decisions. And we are starting to work on issues of nature and biodiversity.

We are looking for a Programme and Partnerships Manager to shape, coordinate, and sustain strategic collaborations across the nature policy ecosystem. We are expanding our work to cover nature in a way that is knowledgeable and respectful of other organisations in this space.

You will guide and lead our foray into nature: What key concepts, data, and actors should we bring into the platform? What are the fundamental knowledge structures in the nature policy space? You will identify and shape these components through partnershipsdata, research, and policyand by drawing on your own experience and judgement. Much of this will involve working with external partners to co-develop data models, define use cases, and align strategic priorities. You will collaborate across organisational boundaries to ensure our work complements, rather than duplicates, existing initiatives, and helps strengthen the shared infrastructure of the nature policy ecosystem.

We are a not-for-profit startup, with a team of ~30 technologists and climate policy experts who care a lot about the how (our values and culture) as well as the what. As part of that, we have embraced a flexible, hybrid approach to work, including a 4 day workweek.

Roles And Responsibilities

As a trusted member of the team your core mission is to develop and implement CPRs nature programme. This includes:

  • Engage with peer organisations to map ecosystem needs, reduce duplication, and identify collaboration opportunities that strengthen collective infrastructure;
  • Co-develop components of our nature-related data and platform features to be aligned with external partners, ensuring shared value and mutual impact;
  • Lead the identification and structuring of strategic external partnerships to shape CPRs nature offering, especially in relation to data, taxonomies, and policy frameworks;
  • Work as a core member of an interdisciplinary team to continually iterate and improve CPRs products - acting as a bridge between CPR and the wider nature policy community, ensuring our tools and products evolve in line with emerging needs and challenges;
  • Contribute to CPRs communications plan, bringing in impact stories and highlighting partner work where appropriate;
  • Represent CPR at external conferences, workshops and events - delivering demos, trainings and presentations;
  • Regularly meet with partners and allies in London and the surrounding area, with flexibility for occasional travel further afield;
  • And keep abreast with the latest developments in the nature and broader environmental policy space to support horizon scanning, understand strategic opportunities and educate other CPR colleagues.

You Bring With You

  • You have at least 7 years working in the nature policy space with your own established network of contacts and relationships.
  • You have a good understanding of the current issues and policy and political landscape as it relates to issues about nature and biodiversity (restoration, ecosystems, natural habitats, protection), from the international process (UNCBD) to national-level policy and data flows, including major policy and nature-related finance (TNFD etc) frameworks, key stakeholders, and how decisions (particularly across policy and finance) are made.
  • You are highly organized, high-performing and proactive.
  • You are a team player: Our ideal candidate will be a trusted collaborator and will be excited about working in a startup/scaleup environment and all that brings.

We are a mission driven organisation, and work best with people who have strong alignment with our values . We care about them deeply.

Salary And Benefits

  • Salary ranging from £53,000- £60,000 depending on experience
  • A deep commitment to employee wellbeing, including policies such as 4 day workweek (same pay, Fridays off), generous leave, and a wellbeing allowance
  • A vibrant, collaborative, empathetic work culture that thrives on innovation and the impact of our work
  • Our hybrid work model encourages collaboration while providing flexibility. For team members in London, we aim for two days a week in our County Hall office, which offers a dynamic environment and spectacular views of the Thames.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

We know that applying for a new job can be full of uncertainties - and we aim to reduce those by communicating clearly. Our process is made of several stages (see below). After each stage, well contact you as soon as we can and no longer than 2 working days, to let you know if you will be progressing to the next stage.

We are committed to making our recruitment process inclusive and accessible. If you require any accommodations due to a disability or specific need, please contact us. We also ensure all applicants are assessed fairly through structured interviews and diverse hiring panels

Process

  • Submission of a short questionnaire, cover letter and CV
  • 30 to 45-minute screening call with our Head of People and a member of our policy team
  • 60-minute interview with our Chief Policy and Partnerships Officer and members of the policy team.
  • We will ask you to complete a short task and present it to members of the policy team in a 30-minute session.
  • 30 minute in-person final fit interview with our CEO/Founder and one other member of the team and an opportunity to (informally) meet with the rest of the team over coffee/tea.
