Job Description:

Copart is currently recruiting a National Transport Planner to work as part of our team, based at our office in Bedford.

The National Transport Planner is responsible for managing the efficient and effective day-to-day routing of all Copart’s collections, deliveries, and returns for the entire national fleet of Transporters and the network of sub-contractors.

You will review and optimize fleet productivity at the most effective cost, ensuring all customer SLA’s are met or exceeded, while maintaining high standards of customer service for both external and internal customers.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Cost-effective daily route scheduling using PTV Route Optimiser.
• Create reports to analyze and improve collection and delivery performance & productivity.
• Maintain routing software settings for optimal performance.
• Achieve and surpass internal KPI targets.
• Engage with subcontractors and yards to maintain performance levels.
• Provide monthly reports on MPM, fleet productivity, driver & sub-haul usage, and costs.

Essential attributes

• Experience in route planning with route software.
• Strong analytical skills, proficient in Excel reporting.
• Experience in achieving or exceeding KPI targets.
• Ability to improve route scheduling processes.
• Proficiency in Excel & MS Office.
• Teamwork ability.
• Experience in vehicle recovery industry.
• Knowledge of Apex Rescue and Recovery platform.
• CPC Qualification.
• One year experience with PTV or similar routing software, preferably in multi-site operations.
