HVAC Recruitment is seeking a National Solar Roofing Manager to lead a growing national Solar PV roofing workforce across the UK, including Leeds and nationwide travel. The role oversees quality, resolves technical issues, and maintains standards in collaboration with operations, technical and electrical teams.

The ideal candidate has strong roofing experience, team leadership, and Solar PV installation knowledge, with willingness to travel nationwide and drive continuous improvement.

National Solar Roofing Manager

Leeds / National Travel

Are you an experienced Roofing Manager, Solar Roofing Manager or Senior Roofing Supervisor looking for a national role with genuine responsibility?

We're recruiting for a fast-growing renewable-energy business that is building a large directly employed Solar PV roofing team across the UK.

This role will sit above the national roofing workforce and act as the first point of contact for installers, helping maintain quality, solve difficult technical issues, support team performance and ensure consistent standards across the country.

The Role

You'll take responsibility for supporting and managing a growing national team of directly employed Solar PV roofers.

• Act as the first point of contact for roofing teams across the UK


• Support installers with difficult jobs and technical roofing issues


• Carry out quality checks and audits on completed work


• Help resolve remedial and problem installations


• Monitor workmanship and installation standards


• Support onboarding and development of new roofers


• Coach and mentor installers where improvements are needed


• Help maintain consistent national roofing standards


• Work closely with operations, technical and electrical teams


• Travel nationally where required to support teams and inspect work

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a strong practical roofing background who also has experience managing or supervising teams.

You should ideally have:

• Strong roofing experience across pitched, tiled and slate roofs


• Solar PV roofing or renewable-energy installation experience


• Previous team leadership, supervision or management experience


• Good understanding of Solar PV mounting systems


• Strong quality and workmanship standards


• Experience dealing with remedial or difficult roofing jobs


• Confidence coaching and challenging experienced installers


• Strong communication and problem-solving skills


• Full UK driving licence


• Willingness to travel nationally

Experience within domestic Solar PV would be particularly useful, but we'd also consider experienced roofing managers from construction, maintenance or large installation businesses with relevant Solar exposure.

A Senior Roofer, Roofing Supervisor, Roofing Manager, Solar Roofing Supervisor, Solar Installation Manager, Regional Roofing Manager or National Roofing Manager who wants to step into a role with genuine influence over a growing employed workforce.

You won't just be managing spreadsheets and rotas. This role needs somebody who understands roofing properly, can spot poor workmanship, support installers technically and help build a high-quality national team.
