Job summary

Community Integrated Care is seeking a Senior Health Practice Manager, Mental Health, to provide specialist leadership across England and Scotland. You will influence practice, shape frameworks and support models, ensuring rights-based, recovery-focused care while balancing safety and independence.

You will collaborate with NHS services, commissioners and regional leaders to raise care quality and workforce capability.

Qualifications

• A recognised mental health nursing qualification.
• Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Understanding of mental health, capacity and adult protection frameworks in England and Scotland.
• Experience with complex mental health presentations and safeguarding needs.

Responsibilities

• Shape organisational vision, strategy and standards for mental health support.
• Develop specialist pathways, practice frameworks and scalable models.
• Advise on complex mental health presentations and associated risks.
• Promote evidence-based assessment, support planning and therapeutic approaches.
• Encourage positive risk enablement and least restrictive practice.
• Balance safety, independence, human rights and quality of life in teams.
• Strengthen trauma-informed, psychologically informed and recovery-focused practice.
• Translate mental health guidance into practical social care approaches.
• Provide professional scrutiny to leaders and teams.
• Contribute specialist expertise to audits, reviews and improvement programmes.
• Ensure learning from incidents drives organisational improvement.
• Design competency frameworks, learning pathways and training resources.
• Provide coaching, mentoring and reflective-practice opportunities.
