Job summary

Sanderson Government and Defence in Cheltenham seeks a Business Change Consultant for a high-profile national security programme. You will work with senior stakeholders to deliver change across complex, high-security environments, embedding new ways of working and realising benefits.

You will lead change activity across transformation programmes, develop change strategies and communications, assess readiness, and support adoption post-go-live. Active eDV clearance is essential.

Qualifications

• Active eDV clearance is required.
• Proven experience in business change or transformation roles, ideally within defence, security, or government.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable operating at senior level.
• Experience with change frameworks (Prosci, APMG, or similar).
• Confident communicator, able to translate complexity into clear action.

Responsibilities

• Lead business change activity across transformation programmes.
• Develop and implement change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and communications.
• Assess organisational readiness and manage resistance to change.
• Work closely with programme and delivery teams to embed new ways of working.
• Support benefits realisation and track adoption post-go-live.
