Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK is seeking an AI Product Engineer to help create proprietary software capabilities that deliver operational advantage for national security customers. You will shape product direction, work with engineers and users, and translate requirements into features.

You will employ LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows, participate in roadmaps, and implement robust CI/CD practices while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, developing or supporting software products or applications.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, including testing, version control and continuous integration.
• Experience or strong interest in AI technologies, machine learning, LLMs, RAG solutions or intelligent automation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Desirable experience in Defence, national security or government sectors.
• Degree qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain AI-enabled software products that support operational mission outcomes.
• Develop capabilities using LLMs, RAG architectures and agentic workflows.
• Work directly with users and stakeholders to translate requirements into features.
• Contribute to product roadmaps and engineering standards.
• Implement robust engineering practices including testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support demonstrations, engagement activities and recruitment efforts.
