Job summary

UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology (UKCEH) invites a secondee to support the NRO Secretariat with communications, engagement and coordination. The role can be remote or hybrid, with time commitment aligned to home organisation and line manager.

You will gather impact examples, maintain templates, and help run meetings and events to raise visibility of NRO activities. The role offers development across communications and stakeholder coordination within a national science policy context, connecting

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication across senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organisation skills with ability to manage several priorities.
• Ability to represent NRO professionally and build relationships.
• High attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Some practical experience supporting communications, engagement or project coordination.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Supporting NRO communications, content planning and inputs from member organisations.
• Drafting first-pass content for updates, web copy, newsletters and social media.
• Coordinating meetings, information requests and routine engagement with stakeholders.
• Maintaining templates, messages and shared materials for consistency.
