Salary: £35,000 + up to £4k Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for multiple National Rental Drivers (HGV Class 1) to join our Vehicle Rental Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the transportation of a large range of HGVs on a national basis. Please note- NRG Riverside operate from the North to the South of the UK and there will be flexibility required in order to service customers all over the country from one day to another, therefore the role will be suited to somebody who is happy to work within unstructured hours and can effectively manage their own workload and logistics.

The role will involve transportation of a wide range of HGVs including Refuse Trucks, Skip Trucks, Hook Loaders, Cage Tippers, Gully Tankers, Truck Mounted Sweepers, Tractor Units, Walking Floor Combination Trucks, Food Waste Vehicles, Impact Protection Vehicles, Winter Maintenance Vehicles, Traffic Management and Highway Vehicles as well as other specialist vehicle hire.

What candidate are we looking for?

  • HGV Class 1 licence
  • Experience within a HGV Driver role
  • Flexibility to work unstructured hours and within a large geographical area- This is a must!
  • An excellent NRG Riverside representative with a friendly and helpful attitude with the ability to maintain a good level of customer service
  • Ability to manage own workload and logistics against business needs and customer demand

What will be your duties?

  • The HGV Driver will be responsible for the delivery and collection of a wide range of HGV vehicles
  • Providing a consistently good level of customer service
  • Completion of rental related paperwork where necessary
  • Valeting of HGV vehicles and inspecting vehicles for damage
  • Helping to keep the depot clean and tidy
  • Taking workshop vehicles to HGV testing station
  • D&C customer vehicles for the workshop and preparation of vehicles for hire
  • Collecting parts for the workshop when required
  • Flexible to work unstructured hours- catering for the needs of the business
  • Willing to work overtime as and when required
  • Daily checks on runner vehicles
  • Taking reasonable care of your own health and safety, and to take reasonable care not to put other people – fellow employees, members of the public – at risk by what you do or don’t do in the course of your work
