About the Team:

The Family Adolescent Support Team (FAST) is a multi-disciplinary service co-located with Barnardo’s, Police and Youth Justice and locality based in the South (Leamington Justice Centre) North(Nuneaton Justice Centre and East(Bloxham Centre) of the county to build connections with localcommunities and enable a focus on risk through a contextual lens in the different places and spaces that young people spend their time in.

FAST responds to adolescents facing increasingly complex situations from a range of different, usually connected, harms outside of the home, such as exploitation and peer violence, working restoratively through a trauma lens with young people, parents, and families to build and strengthen relationships and provide flexible and responsive support at the right time to maintain stable homes and keep young people safe.

About the Role:

We are recruiting for the role of National Referral Mechanism (NRM) Support Officer in our Family & Adolescent Support Team covering countywide on a fixed term 12-month basis.

The NRM framework is the statutory process for identifying and referring potential victims of modern slavery to ensure they receive the appropriate support.

The role will provide support to the NRM Devolved Decision Making pilot being undertaken in Warwickshire with the Home Office to determine whether decision-making aligned to local safeguarding is a more appropriate model.

Key Requirements:

  • Support the NRM Coordinator and Pilot Lead by producing a range of project documentation, collecting information for reports, organising and supporting Panel meetings, and the coordination of tasks and activities
  • Coordinate general administrative tasks that ensures efficient working practices with regard to NRM
  • Write reports in support of the NRM process and prepare presentations
  • Maintain a forward plan and ensure decision-making and reporting deadlines are met
  • Research NRM referrals, securing information to present to NRM Panel
  • Collect, collate, analyse and report information regarding referrals and data relating to NRM
