National Ready-Mix Performance Manager

Are you a dedicated Performance Manager looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation? At Tarmac, we're seeking a National Ready-Mix Performance Manager to join our team. You will develop and lead performance initiatives across Tarmac's UK Ready-Mix business to improve EBITDA and enhance the wider value chain contribution.

About the Role

As a National Ready-Mix Performance Manager, you will provide guidance and direction through coaching and facilitating the adoption of continuous improvement mindsets and behaviours among management teams. You will lead and deliver business-wide continuous improvement and asset optimisation projects, and help develop short- and long-term strategies for the UK Ready-Mix business across all areas.

We are looking for candidates who currently work or have previous experience in Ready-Mix & Concrete, ideally within a construction company. You should understand how a Ready-Mix plant operates and have relevant production experience.

What you'll be doing

• Engaging with all levels of the business to identify improvement opportunities and champion national initiatives using Continuous Improvement tools.
• Identifying and implementing lean projects.
• Delivering targeted projects and recommendations for efficiency improvements, working through regional managers to implement sustainable changes.
• Updating regional teams on performance versus targets.
• Promoting data-driven performance discussions and coaching dashboard reviews at all levels.
• Providing technical guidance on appropriate tools and techniques.
• Working closely with regional teams using a coaching style to promote leadership behaviours.
• Staying informed on current best practices in development and application.

What we are looking for

Prior experience in the construction industry, specifically in Ready-Mix, is essential. You should have operational, commercial logistics, and technical experience in Ready-Mix. Leadership in operational improvements, strategy implementation, and effective communication across stakeholder levels are also required.
