Job summary

Qualifications Scotland (QS) invites applications to become an invigilator working with UHI North, West & Hebrides across multiple campuses including Auchtertyre, Fort William, Portree, Alness and Thurso. You will support the Chief Invigilator, carry out invigilation, and ensure compliance with security and policies during National Qualifications.

The role is casual 'as-and-when' with an hourly rate of £13.45, requires PVG registration, and candidates must have internet access, basic IT

Qualifications

• Must have internet access and basic IT skills.
• Must have a personal email address.
• Be suitable to work within an education environment.
• Be physically able to undertake the duties of the role.
• Not be an employee of the centre or associated with the centre.
• Live within easy reach of the centre (within 5 miles in rural areas).
• PVG registration is required before contracts are confirmed.

Responsibilities

• Attend an invigilator training session prior to the examination cycle.
• Support the Chief Invigilator with secure storage and management of external assessments.
• Carry out invigilation duties as requested and ensure compliance with policies.
• Assist with collation of candidates’ external assessment material on completion.
• Report irregularities to the Chief Invigilator.
• Accurately record sessions worked and submit claims for authorisation.
