Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Supervisor to provide technical expertise across a national dental estate. Based in the UK, the role supports facilities management, capital investment projects, and maintains safe, compliant clinics through field-based site work and regular travel.

You will review specifications, manage budgets, and oversee M&E programmes while building strong relationships with regional teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multi-site M&E engineering, facilities, estates or property environment.
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong technical knowledge across building services and M&E systems.
• Experience managing contractors, budgets and capital investment programmes.
• Good understanding of compliance requirements including Health & Safety, Building Regulations, CDM, Legionella and associated building standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical M&E support across a national portfolio of dental clinics.
• Review capital expenditure tenders and contractor quotations for value for money and scope.
• Manage and maintain M&E asset data and records across the estate.
• Support delivery of engineering projects including heating, hot water systems, fire alarms, lifts and electrical networks.
• Project manage M&E capital works with quality, safety and programme delivery in mind.
• Conduct condition surveys and contribute to lifecycle planning.
• Ensure all statutory inspections and compliance activities are completed on time.
• Audit completed works for quality and contractual compliance.
• Develop M&EE specifications and technical standards for dental environments.
• Build relationships with regional leaders and contractors to provide trusted engineering advice.
